Sustainability
Growing agriculture responsibly.
Feeding a growing world requires more than increasing production. It requires making better use of the resources we already have.
Why It Matters
Building a more resilient food system.
The world will need to feed close to ten billion people by 2050 — driving demand for food, animal feed and agricultural production.
Meeting that demand requires innovation alongside traditional agriculture. We believe biological production can become an important part of a more resilient, diversified and resource-efficient agricultural system.
People by 2050
Our Approach
Inspired by nature.
Nature has been recycling nutrients for millions of years. The Black Soldier Fly is one of nature's most efficient nutrient converters, transforming organic materials into valuable biomass.
Inspired by this natural process, IlluCycle has developed a biological production platform that helps agriculture recover value, reduce waste and produce more with existing resources.
“Produce more value from the resources already available.”
Our operating principle

Our Commitment
Better use of natural resources.
- 01Recovering nutrients from suitable organic by-products.
- 02Supporting a circular approach to resource use.
- 03Reducing reliance on finite natural resources where appropriate.
- 04Investing in efficient biological production.
- 05Continuously improving our environmental performance.
Contributing to Global Goals
Supporting sustainable development.
Our work contributes to several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by promoting more efficient resource use, supporting sustainable agriculture and encouraging responsible production.
